The enamel on copper prototype of this type of bowl formed as a lotus was created during the Kangxi period and continued to be made into the 19th century.  See for example a painted enamel bowl and cover with Kangxi yuzhi mark, in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, included in the Museum’s Special Exhibition of Enamelled Painted Wares of the Ch’ing Dynasty, Taipei, 1979, no. 128; also a Guangxu example, from the Yangzhitang Collection, included in the exhibition Imperial Porcelain of Late Qing from the Kwan Collection, Art Gallery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, 1983, cat. no. 138.
