With bulbous bodies, pinched spout and rounded handle, painted in bright 'famille rose' enamels with two large shaped cartouches, one with a figurative scene set in a watery landscape of a group of ladies, male figures and children, one lady holding a tray with a small teapot and cups, a central male figure seated on a speckled horse, a further lady seated wearing a wide hat, the other cartouche painted with stylised rockwork from which flowering roses issues, a thin budding branch on which a bird is perched and two further birds flying above, dividing the cartouches at the top and at the bottom are four small shaped cartouches with miniature figurative scenes, all reserved on a gilded ground with a multitude of scattered flower sprays, around the slightly everted and moulded foot a gilded spear-head border.
