The ovoid body raised on a short straight foot, the long slender neck rising to an everted mouth, finely decorated in shades of underglaze blue, the body painted with the 'Hundred Antiques' motif, including incense burners, a vase with peacock feathers, books, and a decorative scroll; the base of the neck and the mouth rim both with a band of ruyi-head decoration and stylised flame decoration, the foot encircled by double blue lines, the base glazed.

Literature

The Porzellansammlung, Dresden, has a vase of the same form and design, except the vase holds a bunch of chrysanthemum rather than the peacock feathers shown on ours. The vase in the Dresden museum is dated to the Kangxi period, and is part of the Augustus the Strong collection (inv. number PO 7111).
