The elegant Goddess of Compassion modelled standing wearing loose fitting flowing robes tied above the waist, her face with hooded eyes downcast under arching brows, her thick hair tied in a high chignon with long tresses tumbling over each shoulder, she wears an elaborate diadem enclosing a small figure of Amitabha Buddha, a lotus pendant to her chest, one delicately modelled hand gently gathers her robe, the other holds a ruyi-sceptre, the back impressed four-character seal mark, Boji Yuren seal mark within a square, covered overall with an ivory-white glaze, with carved wood stand.

The impressed seal mark 'Boji Yuren' can be read as 'virtue extends to all, including fishermen', four figures bearing the Boji Yuren seal mark, illustrated by J. Ayers in Blanc de Chine: Divine Images in Porcelain, pp.117-120, pls.68-71.
